Fujairah is the 5th largest emirate. It is the only emirate Nestled along the Arabian Gulf of Oman in the eastern end of UAE, Fujairah is the only Emirate that is not surrounded by deserts but by mountains thus offering a delightful blend of lush greenery, gorgeous beaches, quaint villages, traditional markets, and archeological sites. Be amazed by the awe-inspiring scenery and tranquil ambiance, as the tour kicks off and winds its way through the rugged mountainous coastline. The first stop will be at Sheik Zayed Mosque, one of the newest attractions, (Photo stop), or visit the mosque is open for visitors during the tour.
The next stop is Fujairah Fort which was originally built during the 17th century. The oldest fort in the UAE, it once served as the residence of Fujairah’s ruling family, besides a defensive structure. Get enlightened on the region’s historic past, unique culture, and traditions on a trip to Fujairah Museum. Arts and artifacts on view mainly cover archeological finds from regions like Bitnah, Qidfah, etc. This ranges from pre-Islamic coins to ancient vessels, painted pottery, and bowls made using ostrich eggs. Fascinatingly, most of them date back to Bronze Age and Iron Age.
Another unique attraction included in the itinerary is Bidya Mosque, which is the country’s oldest mosque - dating back to the 15th century.
